From the North, Oceanside is a beautiful coastal city located on California’s South Coast just north of Carlsbad and is the third-largest city in San Diego County. Oceanside has great sandy beaches, a beautiful Cape Cod-style harbor village and its treasured historic wooden pier. In the northern area of Oceanside is the San Luis Rey River Valley and Mission San Luis Rey, which was established in 1798.
